Steamy Mornings

Vegetables for breakfast! The most important meal of the day is often the one people tend to skip. We’re all eager to spend an extra 15 minutes with our snooze buttons and rush to get off to work, leaving just enough time for a quick stop at Starbucks.

In less time than it takes to make a bowl of oatmeal, you can chop up some veggies, steam and toss in a zesty sauce that’s sure to put some pep in your step in the AM. You can even throw it in some tupperware and enjoy it at your desk or, if you want to get really crazy, turn it into a wrap and eat it while you sit in traffic.

Below, our quick and easy idea for a zesty breakfast on the go!


1/2 head of cauliflower

1/2 red bell pepper

1/2 yellow bell pepper

12 Brussels sprouts

1 tbsp reduced sodium soy sauce/tamari

1 lime


Steamed together in a bamboo steam basket, tossed with soy and juice from the lime.
